How to Clean a Beard Brush – Using Mini Comb

Brushing a beard is the part of a routine for every bearded person, many use Beard Brush for Brushing or a Beard comb, and when you use something daily, it surely asks for some maintenance. Beard Brushes can be categories in two types one is boar bristle beard brush and another is nylon bristle beard brush or a comb. I will explain methods of cleaning both brushes in easy steps.

 

How to Clean a Beard Brush

Boar Hair Beard Brush are kinda difficult to be cleaned, but if you do some efforts it will be good for long run as continues use of beard brush make it dirty and which make your beard in trouble, as well not look cool 😉 , Below are the steps to clean your boar beard brush

 

 

STEP 1: CLEAN ALL THE DIRT 

First Shake it and try to clean the dirt by shaking and hitting on your hand or to soft place, as the idea is to keep out the dirt which is sucked inside the brush. even if you can use air blower with lower air pressure, it as well can do work for you for just throwing out some dirt and the hairs from your Beard Boar Brush. 

STEP 2: REMOVE HAIRS AND DIRT WITH COTTON SWAB OR COMB

Now, when you observe that there is no more dirt is coming out and just inside some hairs and dirt is stuck, take a Cotton swab and try to clean it out with that, and bring the hairs out as much as possible. Just clean those are easy to do others will be cleaned in our next step.

Pro Tip: If you have any smaller beard comb with you, try to use that for cleaning the beard brush. Use its corner of comb up to down side and then side by side on your brush to bring out hairs and some dust with that. You can do this once a week or 2 weeks if you don’t want to wash your boar beard.

FINAL STEP: RINSED OUT AND LET IT DRY 

OK, so now we have cleaner boar beard brush than before, now take any bowl drop some shampoo (Baby Shampoos are preferred) or detergent in it and wash it or rinsed out with that. Gently work it in with fingers to get out all the oils and dirt, this will as well take out some remaining hairs out. 

Keep it simple don’t brush hard, so your brush shape will remain in place and not gonna spread. 

Now after its rinse done, now let it dry keep the brush bristle side down so the water drips out. Best way to dry is that expose it to the sun light, but if not possible, still it will be dry itself after a few hours.

How to Clean Nylon Bristle Beard Brush / Comb

Cleaning a bristle nylon beard brush, is simpler than the boar brush. Because of nylon it will not mix the beard hair with the bristles, so the main concern is to clean its base and keep hairs out. Let me explain in steps how you can do this,

 

Step 1: Take it and clean out hairs with any tool like i use Q-Tip for this, or whatever easier for you, simply keep the maximum hairs out because when we are going to rinse out and if hairs are there these will stick around.

Step 2: Take bowl mix the water with detergent or shampoo whatever you like both works in our case, and wash your bristle beard brush with your hand to make it cleaner from the base, and then use clean warm water to clean it up completely.

Now it’s clean, let it dry and then its ready to use. 🙂

Same thing you can do for your beard comb, it will be cleaned more easily.
